| Industry Web Portal for Services and Support NPF/NFF Information

The primary purpose of this CompTIA web portal is to provide a single source of quick links
to service and support information from major IT manufacturers. It is targeted to those providing first levels of support (i.e. help desks, call centers,
support centers, etc.) as well as field and desk side support technicians in order to increase the usage of this information and decrease the total resolution time for an issue.
The secondary purpose of the web portal is to reduce the rate of No Problem Found/No Fault Found (NPF/NFF) parts for the industry and provide a feedback mechanism to
manufacturers from service providers for information on common issues that may cause increased levels of NPF/NFF.

CompTIA Standard Error Codes/Messages
CompTIA's Standard Error Codes/Messages have been recently revised by an international
industry task force consisting of over 30 major IT companies to provide the IT industry a
standard for identifying, categorizing and tracking symptom failures for service
incidents as they move from initial problem identification to resolution. One of
the stated goals of the industry in revising these codes is to be able to
improve root cause determination thereby reducing the number of No Problem/Fault
Found (NPF/NFF) parts in the warranty/repair chain.
